Sometimes human beings are similar to goldfish since our memory lasts for just a few seconds. It's funny how we cannot remember a set of 10 simple words in the correct order. Having a strong memory is one of our greatest assets.

The more we know, the more we can potentially grow. Knowledge about the world around us and ourselves gives us incredible power. Working on building our brain power and improving our memory is one of the best investments we can make in our lives.

Spending around 20 minutes a day is enough to help improve our memory and keep our brain in top condition. Exercises that focus on improving our focus and concentration are a great boon as well.

One of the simplest ways to increase our memory retention capacity is to go through random lists of 10 words at a time and then attempt to write down all 10 words that you went through in the correct order. Maintain a gap of 1 to 2 seconds between the observation or listening of each word so that your brain has enough time to remember the said word well enough.

Using memory techniques such as rhyming, building a story around the word, connecting each word to the next one, or simple repeating all 10 words one after the other will help in remembering all 10 words well.
